Position Description
Performs routine tests in the medical laboratory to provide data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease for the PRR lab within the Ob/Gyn department
Major/Essential Functions
- Perform and validate a wide range of laboratory tests, including chemical, microscopic, serologic, hematologic, immunohematologic, parasitologic, and bacteriologic analyses.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through strict quality control, troubleshooting, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree (A. A.) in Medical Lab Technology from a two-year College or Technical School; current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from an accredited/recognized certification entity which includes but is not limited to the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)
