Position DescriptionAssists in administering human resources policies and procedures. Collects and maintains HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc., to help make recommendations for improvement. Processes paperwork for functional areas in accordance with established procedures. May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
Major/Essential Functions- Assists in monitoring the web-based applicant tracking system by opening and closing positions and reviewing postings for accuracy.
- Assists applicants with the web-based application tracking system either in person or over the phone.
- Makes contingent job offers for staff and student positions for areas assigned according to HR Division Recruitment expectations.
- Receives incoming phone calls. Transfers calls to the appropriate person and takes messages when needed. Answers the door intercom and determines whether the person is coming to Human Resources or should be allowed to enter the building.
- Ensures documents are uploaded into the Xtender database, which maintains the electronic personnel files for all employees.
- Assists with Onboarding document completion.
- Completes reports, spreadsheets, and other assigned documents, including but not limited to: New Employee checklists, Termination spreadsheet, License/Certification Verification spreadsheet, Position Descriptions, NTMO spreadsheet, Transferring Employees and others as assigned.
- Utilize the HR systems, including HRIS (Banner and Legacy), BrassRing, Xtender, WebRaider Portal, and others, to provide information when requested.
- Completes the Off-boarding process for employees.
- Assists in completing orientation packets for faculty and staff. Maintains a supply of forms needed.
- Provide high-quality service to employees and applicants by providing assistance with basic questions across Human Resources areas such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, records management, personnel transactions, compensation, and payroll in person, by phone or by electronic communication. Refers customers to Subject Matter Experts as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by Director or HR leadership.
Required QualificationsRequires bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and related experience to equal 4 years.
