Position DescriptionCoordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program or departmental project as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students.
Major/Essential Functions- Manage and upload specialty and external medical documentation into the electronic record system (Pearl) to ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely processing.
- Monitor and manage incoming medical records received through Utilization Management (UM) eFax, ensuring proper routing, documentation, and follow-up.
- Under the direction of the Senior Director of Utilization Management, gather and compile data for internal and external stakeholders, audits, and required reports in alignment with contractual requirements (monthly, quarterly, annual, and as requested).
- Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for Utilization Management inquiries from unit-based providers and staff.
- Conduct chart preparation for oncology clinics by organizing and verifying required documentation prior to scheduled appointments.
- Prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes for Utilization Management meetings, ensuring accurate tracking of action items.
- Track and maintain the Utilization Management on-call schedule to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Senior Director of Utilization Management.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six (6) years.
