The City of Olathe is looking for candidates to fill an internship role working in the City Manager's Office, providing support for a variety of projects and activities for the period of Summer 2026 to Spring 2027. This is an excellent paid internship, offering $15.50 per hour, where you'll find purpose, great experience, and opportunities to connect with a wide variety of people.

For more details, review the full job details and requirements below.The high school intern works under the general direction of the City Manager and the Assistant to the Mayor to provide support to the City Manager's Office through various projects and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Leads the Olathe Teen Council through duties as assigned.
- Supports the Olathe Mayor's Children's Fund;leads the OMCF teen committee; plans and executes volunteer activities; posts on social media.
- Supports Communities That Care (CTC) and participates in CTC leadership and coalition meetings.
- Supports Olathe Teen Council as assigned.
- Attends meetings and assists staff in the City Manager's Office with various projects as assigned, including but not limited to research, communication, and scheduling.
QualificationsExperience: No experience required.
Education: Must be currently enrolled in high school in Olathe
