Position DescriptionTexas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing is dedicated to training knowledgeable, compassionate nurses and nurse practitioners to meet the critical nursing shortage in West Texas and across the nation. For 40 years, the School of Nursing has educated new nurses, strengthened the careers of experienced nurses, and prepared innovative nurses to become leaders in health care.
The Adjunct Faculty - ABSN - Mental Health, supports the mission of TTUHSC School of Nursing through excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly engagement. Adjunct Faculty in this role support the Graduate Program by delivering high quality instruction in didactic or clinical, laboratory, simulation lab, and online settings, while participating in curriculum planning, academic advising, and professional development. This position has a hybrid remote schedule for your convenience.
Major/Essential Functions- Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
- Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
- Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
- Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
- Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.
Occasional Duties
Required Qualifications- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Psychiatric Mental Health experience.
- Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
