Education and Experience : Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED), or higher, and four (4) years of customer service experience, which involved applying standardized procedures to independently resolve customer service problems.

Licenses and Certificates : Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state.

General Purpose

Under direct supervision, administer and participate in outreach, public contact and customer service activities.

Typical Duties

Administer outreach, public contact and customer activities. Involves: Establish monthly schedules. Prepare, maintain, review, and analyze records, reports and work statistics to determine program efficiency, effectiveness, and requirements. Monitor and supervise customer and public contacts; coordinate activities with other agencies, and programs in order to reach the public and explain or interpret the requirements to render service. Recommend changes in program operations and policies; assist in preparation of work plans and budgets to include monitor and project needed resources. Plan, direct, and perform diverse and highly responsible supportive administrative duties to include provide technical program and assistance. Arrange travel itineraries for departmental staff. Arrange for time and location of services. Coordinate and provide support services for staff. Establish and maintain program files and records.

Serve as a technical resource for the program. Arrange, assist, and organize meetings and presentations. Update and maintain clinic and/or program schedules. Identify community needs and recommend actions. Monitor and analyze customer contacts. Interpret and explain department and program rules, policies, and procedures in response to questions and complaints from customers. Organize educational community engagement and outreach information to promote programs to communities.

Represent the department and provide information and guidance on program services. Facilitate public meeting throughout the community. Gather input from other social agencies, schools and committees for collaborative efforts.
