Role

Under general direction, performs planning, evaluative and administrative work of moderate to considerable difficulty managing the development and coordination of grant-seeking initiatives.

Major Duties, Responsibilities

• Researches, tracks, and evaluates grant funding opportunities relevant to regional development, transportation, and organizational priorities; participates in trainings and professional development activities to remain current on funding programs, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Coordinates the preparation, development, and submission of grant applications, utilizing available tools and technologies to support efficient and accurate application development in compliance with applicable federal and state requirements (including FTA Section 5307).
• Manages grant-related workflows, documentation, and reporting activities, ensuring timely submissions, accurate records, and adherence to funding agency guidelines.
• Collaborates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including partner agencies, jurisdictions, consultants, and funding entities, to support grant development, implementation, and ongoing communication.
• Coordinates with stakeholders to support outreach and communications efforts, including social media and website management related to programs, projects, and funding initiatives.
• Provides administrative support for regional development activities, including assistance with event planning, meeting coordination, and logistics.
• Supports podcast and multimedia production efforts by assisting with scheduling, coordination, content preparation, and basic production or post-production tasks as needed.
• Performs related duties as assigned to support regional development initiatives and organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.

Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible relevant experience.

An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-per-year basis.

Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

• Easily assimilate information from a variety of databases both to complete financial and personnel reports.
• Remain current in knowledge required to perform assigned duties.

• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, employees of other departments, representatives of other organizations, County officials, and the public.
• Keep management informed of key operating issues affecting the department.
• Act with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with an office. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled and ventilated.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
