The Enterprise Architect (EA) team at the Missouri Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to help drive the State’s digital transformation. In this pivotal leadership role, you will define the architectural standards that govern the State's IT landscape. You will move beyond analysis to high-level strategy, overseeing the modernization of legacy systems and the adoption of cloud-native solutions. You will serve as a technical authority, mentoring junior architects and ensuring that IT investments are directly aligned with complex agency business goals.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting Enterprise IT Operations (EIT).

- Lead the development and maintenance of current and future state enterprise architecture blueprints to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Chair architectural review boards and govern compliance with state technical standards and policies.
- Drive the strategic roadmap for technology portfolio management and application rationalization across multiple agencies.
- Mentor and guide entry-level architects and technical teams on architectural best practices and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to translate complex business capabilities into integrated IT strategy and solutions.
- Evaluate and select high-impact emerging technologies to solve cross-agency business problems.
- Oversee the design and implementation of complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures.
- Expert-level Systems Thinking and strategic planning capabilities are required.
- Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Architecture frameworks is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Extensive experience with cloud computing architectures (Azure, AWS) and legacy modernization strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills for negotiating technical decisions with non-technical executive stakeholders.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing architectural governance processes.
- Ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
