Workdays & Hours: Monday through Friday, with hours between 7 AM and 5 PM. The position will work 40 hours a week. Some evening/weekend on-call work may be required.

A Contract Compliance Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Contract Mowing division of the Park & Recreation Department. The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is made up of 13,447 acres of parkland and includes 308 park and recreation facilities. From hike and bike trails to fitness centers, the Park & Recreation Department is a vital part of Fort Worth, Texas and is exciting and vivacious place to work.
Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma/GED
- Two (2) years of directly related experience in contracts, compliance, or field environmental experience
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with work orders in an enterprise management system (Contract Mowing uses Motorola CRM database), including closing work orders
- Skills/Knowledge in municipal landscaping, city parks, streets and navigation, map reading, Google Earth/Maps, GPS, and Excel
The Contract Compliance Technician job responsibilities include: - Serve as support for the Park Operations Contract Mowing Section performing a variety of tasks related to contract compliance, invoicing and customer service
- Monitor contract or compliance with contract specifications; assist with investigation and verification of complaints and contractor work order completed
- Research and respond to a high volume of complaints during mow season
- Compile information such as property inventory updates, track and verify vendor invoices
- Prepare site maps; conduct site inspections; review and track invoices and payments
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports; utilize the internet, Microsoft Office tools, mowing database (CRM) and mapping tools; and perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions and Physical Demands Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting, depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils and workspace restrictions.
Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
