Description

The City of Weatherford’s Development Services Department is looking to hire a Health & Food Safety Inspector. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Development Services, the Health & Food Safety Inspector is responsible for protecting human health through conducting inspections on food establishments, temporary events, recreational water facilities, daycares and foster homes, and on-site sewage facilities (OSSF). Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field. • Registered Sanitarian issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. • Two (2) years’ experience in consumer/environmental health, or sanitation. • Three (3) years’ experience in code compliance and enforcement preferred. • Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job may be considered. • Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets City guidelines. • Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance.
