The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Conduct support functions such as screening and forwarding telephone calls as appropriate, preparing filing or mailing labels, opening and distributing incoming mail, etc.
- Work with other support staff in the bureau to process incoming documents. This includes preparing the documents for scanning/importing, and indexing and filing, using Kofax Capture Software or direct import into the Client for Windows imaging system.
- Work with other support staff to print and prepare background screening and registration result letters, and various outbound correspondence and documents for mailing.
- As needed, assist the Lead Administrative Support Assistant with tasks such as taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings with Outlook/WebEx, processing invoices, ordering supplies or equipment, creating and sending work orders, or arranging for equipment repair/maintenance.
- Contribute to the development of policies/procedure for support tasks and the bureau.
Minimum Qualifications: - At least one year of relevant experience in support or clerical fields.
- Flexibility and the ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- The ability to exercise independent judgment when organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Experience with software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., and the ability to become proficient with other software packages.
- The ability to accurately proofread and use excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- The ability to develop professional relationships with other division or department colleagues to promote the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of work.
