Role

Under minimal supervision, manages individual divisions within the Appraisal Department including Land, Agricultural, Commercial, Residential, Manufactured Housing and Personal Property appraisals.

Major Duties, Responsibilities



Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Associate’s Degree in Appraisal, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in appraising real property for tax assessment purposes with two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. An equivalent combination of directly related work experience and education may substitute for the degree requirement on a year per year basis.

Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must obtain Level II Department of Revenue (DOR) Appraisal Certification within three (3) years of employment.
Must meet continuing education requirements to maintain DOR Certification.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with an office and field environment year-round in all weather conditions and includes exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, mist, and chemicals. This is a highly public position where contact with public may be in challenging situations.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
