Position DescriptionThe Business Manager, Digital Health projects serves as a central resource within the Division of Rural Affairs, directed by the Managing Director of Finance and Administration and in alignment with the Office of the Senior Vice President for the Division of Rural Affairs. This role ensures that staff and programs have access to the physical, digital, and organizational tools necessary to perform their work effectively. The position supports Division efficiency, accountability, and compliance by maintaining accurate records, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and promoting responsible fund management across all units.
Major/Essential Functions- Verifies invoices with regard to contract type, charges, does mathematical calculations, prepares voucher/cover letter, processes for payment by Projects, Grants, and Accounting, and verifies payment coding.
- Manages all components of state, federal, local, and sponsored funding within the institute by following regulations and guidelines for grants and contracts.
- Maintains payroll listing by preparing annual electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs) for salary changes.
- Serves as liaison between management of ITDI, FMHIRCH, and TTUHSC Accounting, Purchasing, Sponsored Programs, Accounts Payable, Travel, Purchasing Card, other departments, as well as external partners and contractors.
- Responsible for the final financial closeout for assigned set of funds including final compliance review, correspondence with faculty, and any needed accounting adjustments.
- Follows grant award financial requirements.
- Assists in preparation of budgets, associated financial reports, and funding proposals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects OR a combination of education and/or experience developing or managing programs or projects to equal 8 years.
