Description
Overview The purpose of Administrative Support III is to provide professional administrative support to CCW staff in areas including payroll, recruitment, training, FMLA and limited duty, position control and records management. The objective is to provide customer service to all levels of staff and to develop constructive working relationships with staff in other departments in order to fulfill responsibilities. The position exists primarily to provide administrative support to the Business Manager and to centralize employee support processes within CCW.
Responsibilities • Provide guidance pertaining to Employee Support to CCW staff
• Act as the liaison between the Finance Department and CCW to assist with processing payroll
• Complete F12's related to compensation and recruitment
• Work with staff to manage overtime justifications and related responsibilities
• Provide assistance to CCW staff for recruitment by assisting with scheduling interviews and ensuring postings are accurate
• Maintain Position Control and related responsibilities
• Responsible for records management by ensuring files are uploaded in Laserfiche and responding to Open Records Requests
• May assist with weekly CCW Orientation, Uniform Coordination with third party vendor, service awards at monthly meetings and scheduling trainings
• This position must maintain confidentiality due to the information they will work with daily
• Assist with obtaining quotes for small contracts and creating requisitions in Infor
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work • Non-Exempt - Full-Time
• Non-Rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.
• In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.

Qualifications • Associates Degree (AA/AS); or two (2) year technical certificate
• Two (2) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications Required • A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
