Why you will love this position: The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in maintaining and producing federal cost system reports. Working with Department and Division staff, this person will serve as backup and assist in the production of monthly Abila Cost System reports. This position will ensure the accuracy of monthly cost reports by completing the analysis and generating correcting entries as needed. The position will also assist in the review and oversight of daily entries for accuracy and compliance with GAAP, agency, state and federal requirements. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with other financial management staff.
What you will do: - Work daily with the Abila-Cost Reporting System
- Coordinate with DOLIR Divisions and Human Resources to ensure timesheet accuracy
- Complete analysis of the monthly Fund Trial balances with Abila Monthly General Ledger Reports to ensure compliance
- Identify revenues received requiring adjustments and processing corrective entries
- Lead Coordinator for the Missouri Vital Enterprises Resource System (MOVERS) within DOLIR Financial Management
- Assist with accounts payable processing, utilizing SAM II, MO Buys, and MOVERS
- Conduct audit review of all daily cash journal entries and monthly bank reconciliations for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and agency, state, federal requirements
- Assists in the preparation information for bank contract and debit card contract bids/contracting, review or create spreadsheets and respond to vendors and other employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
All you need for success: Qualifications - 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed).
