The Role at a Glance

The Manufacturing Assistance Wage Agency Instructor coordinates, prepares, and delivers Lean, Quality Management Systems (QMS) and maintenance training in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatics. These trainings will be delivered in English and Spanish, throughout the State of Texas. The Manufacturing Assistance Wage Agency Instructor trains various audiences including technicians, managers and executives in a variety of manufacturing, commercial, and government organizations through courses which focus on strategies and techniques to assist companies and organizations to improve their performance. The Manufacturing Assistance Wage Agency Instructor will use their knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Manufacturing Assistance Wage Agency Instructor uses a variety of media to present course materials and is responsible for assisting in curriculum development projects to maintain course relevance and support customer needs.

This position reports to the Program Director.

Qualifications of the Role


Equivalency: Will accept an associate’s degree and seven years of experience in engineering or manufacturing or a high school diploma and nine years of experience in engineering or manufacturing. Must also have one year of experience in adult education and/or training of lean manufacturing tools.
