Position DescriptionProvides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.
Major/Essential FunctionsThis position is funded by a 5-year grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to implement maternal health initiatives in the Texas Panhandle. The project that will be managed by this position involves a Coalition of 30 community-based organizations and is grounded in community engagement. Position is located on the Amarillo TTUHSC campus.
- Works closely with principal and co-investigators to manage project development and implementation.
- Assesses project staffing needs; assists with hiring and training any/all new staff.
- Supervises and coordinates community health workers and research assistants working on the project.
- Manages project development and implementation.
- Manages primary data collection, assists in the development of study-related databases.
- Assists in the monitoring of data collection for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinates and supervises daily project activities.
- Ensures compliance of project activities with human subjects research, and with other internal and external needs.
- Assists with editing of proposals and manuscripts.
- Manages IRB submissions and correspondence.
- Maintains compliance standards (CITI, HIPPA, etc.).
- Provides employee and programmatic updates to PI on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Monitors and tracks project milestones; manages ongoing timeline for milestones.
- Ensure preparation and submission of monthly reports to funding agency.
- Establishes community partnerships and maintains rapport with established partners.
- Plans and provides training for community partners and project sites.
- Designs, implements, leads, and participates in community events for awareness and participant recruitment.
- Manages participant navigation through the program to bring all program participants into compliance for recommended screening.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.
