SALARY:

$33.51 - $40.73 / Hour

THE POSITION:

Under general supervision, performs entrance-level professional civil engineering work in connection with surveying, designing, construction, and maintenance of Public Works projects and surface water and groundwater projects. Performs other work as required.

Representative Duties

The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting. Essential Duties: Prepares property descriptions and drafts plats for annexations, public way openings and closing; Prepares descriptions both written and graphic for property to be deeded to the City; Drafts plans for public improvement districts; Prepares estimates; Calculates individual assessments; Performs research work in checking and verifying names establishing ownerships, assessed valuation and similar projects; Develops original base maps from recorded tract maps and field survey notes, data, and field survey information.

Minimum Qualifications

Examination (Weighted: 100%)

ORAL APPRAISAL INTERVIEW (Weighted 100%): November 13, 2025 (Tentative)

An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.

NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications. Applicants possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admittance to the Examination. $69,702.88 - $84,724.64 Annually
