A Payroll Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth Fire Department/Fire Administration Division. This position will be located at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix, Fort Worth, TX 76115. This position consists of complex payroll functions that requires attention to detail and critical thinking in order to assist more than 1,000 active Fire personnel, both Civil Service and Civilian employees. The Payroll Specialist performs detail-oriented functions while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. This position works within a team to ensure that all payroll related tasks and responsibilities are successfully carried out on a daily basis.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Sedentary Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
