About the Opportunity

ABOUT THE POSITION The Staff Services Coordinator classification is a vital role within the Data Reporting Team of the BHRS IT department, dedicated to advancing the department’s mission of delivering high-quality behavioral health and recovery services through robust data management, system integration, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Reporting to the IT Manager, this position focuses on coordinating data-driven initiatives, researching Behavioral Health Information Systems (BHINS), and ensuring adherence to state reporting requirements, such as those mandated by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The role is designed with flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the IT department, enabling the coordinator to transition to the Outcomes and Evaluation Management (OEM) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) teams as required. By leveraging strong analytical, technical, and collaborative skills, the Staff Services Coordinator supports BHRS’s commitment to data-driven decision-making, culturally competent service delivery, and compliance with HIPAA. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about using technology to enhance behavioral health outcomes in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Classified Service of the County and is assigned to the Mid-Management/Supervisory bargaining unit for labor relations purposes. Individuals who are in a full-time classification position are required to serve a twelve-month probationary period, which may be extended an additional six months, for a total of eighteen months. Incumbents may also be subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday and shift assignments as identified in their MOU (Memorandum of Understanding). EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Progressively responsible experience in a related area may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
