The City of Waco Seeks
We are seeking a dependable and diligent Fleet Porter to support our Fleet Services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations by performing manual and maintenance tasks on buildings, grounds, and city vehicles. Your responsibilities will include assisting with deliveries, managing supplies, supporting basic vehicle repairs and installations, and ensuring a safe environment by identifying hazards. Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Position Overview
Under basic supervision, this position supports Fleet Services with general housekeeping, courier duties, performing minor mechanical repairs and assisting equipment mechanics as needed.
Essential Functions
- Performs manual and maintenance work on buildings and grounds for Fleet Services (FS); identifies and reports dangerous spills and safety hazards.
- Assists with delivery of parts and vehicles; maintains supplies inventory.
- Assists with basic repairs/installations and decommissions on City vehicles/equipment; may assist with oil changes, placing decals on vehicles, etc.
- Performs courier duties as assigned.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
