Description

The Role:
The Senior Manager of Security (Patrol) is the patrol commander and serves as the first line manager over the supervisors of the Security and Canine teams. This leader is responsible for managing personnel, directing patrols and overseeing responses to emergencies for the safety and security of all individuals and assets on LVCVA property.

What You’ll Accomplish:

• Lead An Extraordinary Team:
  • Lead the Customer Safety Security Operations Patrol and Canine teams
  • Plan, assign, and direct work of assigned Ambassadors. Appraise performance, reward and discipline Ambassadors. Address and resolve departmental complaints timely and professionally.
  • Interview, hire, and onboard Ambassadors as needed in accordance with established LVCVA policies.
  • Oversee and provide support to Ambassadors who perform roving, fixed, foot, bike, cart and mobile patrols, including electronic tours and space and equipment inspections. Ensure staff visibility to guests and Ambassadors.
  • Provide back-up support to the Administration section when necessary.
• Support Events Holders: Work closely with the LVCVA clients, business partners, liaison partners and other LVCVA Ambassadors to coordinate security requirements in support of conventions, special events, and day-to-day operations.
• Ensure Preparedness and Response:
  • Maintain preparedness to respond to and manage medical emergencies, fires, active assailants, and other emergency situations.
  • Respond physically to defend oneself or others in the immediate area when imminent harm presents itself.
  • Deescalate situations and contact local authorities when communication barriers present themselves.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree in justice studies, criminal justice or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated experience as a full-time manager in law enforcement, military, security or a combination thereof
• Possess knowledge of law enforcement principles and techniques
• Ability to:
  • Respond to situations that may require the use of defensive tactics to defend oneself or others in a situation that may present imminent harm or danger
  • Perform during strenuous circumstances including medical events, fires, active assailants and various other emergency situations
  • Demonstrate emotional stability during periods of tension and stress
  • Meet and deal with the public courteously and effectively
  • Effectively collect information and write various reports in English with appropriate spelling and grammar
  • Provide reasonable availability beyond scheduled hours for unforeseen or emergency matters
  • Obtain a State of Nevada, Clark County, Concealed Firearms Permit within 90 days of appointment, maintain valid permit throughout employment
  • Obtain first aid/CPR/AED training within 90 days of start date
  • Lift, drag and move more than 100 pounds, e.g., a human who may be incapacitated
  • See distance, color, peripherally and have depth perception with the ability to adjust focus
  • Run, climb, stand, squat, and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Subdue persons, to drag, carry and lift persons and objects
  • Dexterity to shoot a gun
  • Be heard and hear in noisy group settings and situations
  • Drive a motor vehicle
• Possess advanced ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels, recognizing and overcoming barriers
• Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license and keep it current during employment
• Must complete additional certifications/licenses as directed by the Vice President of Customer Safety

Salary:

$93,300.00 - $116,600.00 Annually
