Annual starting salary up to $40,292 depending on qualifications. * The salary reflected represents the base pay for this position and does not include any differential for time-of-service pay for state tenure.

This position involves various entry level tasks , including housekeeping, maintenance, light construction, and clerical work. Responsibilities also include print shop services, mailroom operations, fleet management, inventory, and operations of the buildings making up the Missouri Court System, primarily the Supreme Court. The role is distinguished by the complexity of assignments and the independence required, with some duties needing specialized certifications or licenses.

• Performing custodial duties and maintaining building grounds.
• U pkeeping fleet vehicles and setting up for court meetings.
• Conducting preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.
• Cleaning coils, changing filters, and replacing belts.
• Executing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and construction projects.
• Finishing and repairing plaster and wood surfaces.
• Repairing and constructing wood and metal furniture and fixtures.
• Maintaining plumbing equipment and fixtures.
• Adjusting and calibrating various machines and equipment.
• Exercising independent judgment in routine maintenance.
• Managing inventory of supplies and tools.
• Receiving work orders with sketches or blueprints.
• Handling print shop duties and maintenance.
• Transporting and distributing mail and supplies.
• Performing additional related tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with standard tools and practices in trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry).
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Familiarity with standard tools and practices in trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry).
• Ability to perform skilled/semi-skilled work from sketches and blueprints.
• Capability to follow instructions and guide others.
• Proficient in operating motor vehicles and equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Understanding of computer and mail operations, including print shop machinery.
• Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service regulations and mailing standards.
• Familiarity with business practices and departmental procedures.
• Effective relationship-building skills and ability to work independently.
• Intermediate motor vehicle knowledge for monitoring and maintaining fleet vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited high school or GED and at least one-year in building operations capacity preferred.
