What You'll Be Doing

As a Staffing Specialist for the Wake County Board of Elections, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the largest election staffing operation in the state. You will help assign, track and communicate with more than 10,000 Election Officials to ensure 216 Election Day polling places and up to 30 Early Voting sites are properly staffed with trained volunteers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on public service, working in fast-paced environments and developing innovative solutions to solve problems. You’ll assist with scheduling assignments, maintain accurate records in our staffing database and support Election Officials via email, phone and in-person contact. Whether you’re fielding last-minute staffing changes, preparing mass communications to our assigned volunteers or helping an Election Official get ready for their assignment, you’ll be a vital link in ensuring all voting locations are staffed with sufficient, well-trained volunteers.

Hiring Range: 25.43 - 29.08

Emergency Service Worker Statement

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
