FOOD SERVICES DELIVERY COORDINATOR

POSITION

Under general supervision, supervises the preparation, packaging, and delivery of home delivery meals; Coordinates the work of home delivery meal drivers and volunteers, delivery of prepared meals from the central kitchen to home delivery clients, and procedures for safe food handling.

TASKS


QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or equivalent, AND three (3) years of experience in food preparation, packaging, or delivery, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess at the time of application and maintain a valid Serve-Safe Food Manager Certificate and California Driver’s License.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is performed in office and kitchen environments. Work may require frequent standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 30 pounds. Incumbents May be exposed to repetitive motion, extreme temperatures, sharp objects or utensils, hazardous chemicals and infectious diseases.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

Consists of an application review to ensure that all applicants meet the minimum requirements for the job classification. A select number of qualified applicants will be invited to an interview with the Hiring Authority. All employment offers are contingent on a criminal background review via fingerprint submission for applicants over 18 years of age and provision of evidence of freedom from tuberculosis. Every individual the City employs must complete and sign the US Government form I-9 and provide documentation required by law showing that s/he is eligible to work in the United States.
