Position DescriptionProvides technical support to EHR (electronic health record) system users via phone, remote access, and/or in-person visits. Identifies, researches, resolves technical problems, and refers unresolved issues to engineering/development staff as needed. Identifies gaps in user knowledge and provides system training as appropriate.
Major/Essential Functions- Subject matter expert in electronic health record training development, coordinating with other Managed Care team members to research, design, and create training material.
- Facilitator for EHR training to staff when live training is delivered.
- Coordinates with Managed Care's business partners to maintain the area's knowledge base and function pipeline.
- Assists EHR End Users with technical and process issues. Responds to tickets as prescribed by unit SOPs.
- Maintains licensing credentials for clinicians needing to access the EHR. Works as the primary point of contact between business partners and end users for access management to the EHR. Maintains a list of authorized users for various aspects of the EHR to ensure proper access levels.
- Ability to pass a Texas Department of Justice background check.
- Ability to occasionally participate in onsite visits at a correctional facility.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from four-year college or university; One (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to equal five (5) years.
