Job Description

Location : Central Office- 123 Robert S Kerr OKC, Ok 73012

Salary : up to $ 56,864.56 , based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time : Full Time

Work Schedule : Monday-Friday

Primary Hours : 8-5 PM

Position Description:

Positions in this job family serve as liaison between the Office of Client Advocacy, internal and external partners which are involved in the delivery of social services, juvenile services or rehabilitation services on a statewide basis.

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Regularly visits local provider agencies in an assigned area of the state as a representative of another Office of Client Advocacy to ensure proper interpretation and uniform application of grievance policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

• Regularly conduct on-site surveys of provider agency grievance records, files and other documents. Completes interviews with staff and residents related to grievance procedures.

• Prepares written reports and recommendations regarding the provider agency and results of another survey visit.

• Accepts, reviews and facilitates grievances through the review process in compliance with policy, procedure, rules and regulations.

• Prepares information for, processes the decisions of, and chairs OCA’s Program Review, Registry Removal, and Reconsideration Committees.

• Conducts field investigations of abuse and neglect of vulnerable Oklahomans.

• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

• Works effectively in team environment, participating and assisting their peers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education and Experience required at this level consists of a master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of additional qualifying experience for each year of the required education.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of agency policies and procedures; of all state and federal legislation related to assigned agency programs; of sound methods of community organization and planning; and of current social and economic problems. Ability is required to evaluate programs; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to interpret and apply policy material.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

A portion of this role involves conducting fieldwork within the community. This includes visits to private homes and various care facilities. While performing the duties of the job, employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires daily use of a laptop computer and cell phone. Travel is required with this position. Being in the office is an essential part of this position.

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; carry light items; drive an automobile. This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Applicants must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position. Occasionally, in state overnight and weekend travel may be required. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job
