Classification Title: Student Services Professional III

Classification Salary Range: $5,540 - $7,893 per month

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $5,540 - $6,560 per month.

The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

About the Department/Position:

Under general direction of the Director of the Campus Awareness, Response and Education (CARE), The CARE Coordinator(s) will facilitate intervention plans developed for students of concern. They will manage cases of students who experience behavioral or emotional concerns through a variety of interventions, referrals, and follow-up services. Responsibilities will include needs assessment, data collection, record keeping, case management, consultation/collaboration with appropriate parties, and educational outreach.

Targeted Population: These students require specialized support navigating federal, state, county, and local eligibility criteria to access resources that are often beyond the capacity of campus programs and personnel. Help-seeking behaviors amongst these student populations can be limited due to the sensitivity of their identities. The ever-changing nature of law and policy can lend itself to unclear eligibility criteria which can negatively impact these students. Thus, access to these resources and services, or lack thereof, often shapes the experiences of students and impacts their academic trajectory, motivation, sense of self-efficacy and hope. The CARE coordinator will manage action plans to assist students with complex challenges and barriers to their success including special student populations such as foster youth, students with disabilities, undocumented/Dreamer, Black or African American student, students facing basic needs insecurities, LGBTQ+, formally incarcerated, parenting students, Latinx, or first-generation populations to contribute to the overall aim of supporting the holistic well-being of students to foster their success., and assist with strategic planning efforts for the CARE Team.

Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm, occasional evening and weekend hours.
