Position DescriptionThis Position is Open to Current TTUHSC External Relations Employees Only. Plans, budgets, advertises, and executes special events for the institution, including social events, recognition celebrations, conferences, and meetings. Facilitates production of events by coordinating with vendors, performing groups, media, and approving expenditures.
Major/Essential Functions- Manages, plans, and executes events for the Office of the President and External Relations, including social events, external stakeholder gatherings, internal events, and recognition celebrations.
- Coordinates event production by working with vendors, handling publicity and marketing, managing the budget, and approving expenditures.
- Supervises and directs staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Follows TTUS and TTUHSC Operating, IT, and Safety Policies, completing all training as required.
- Manages and executes all external events that represent the Office of the President and External Relations.
- Manages and coordinates the annual employee picnics at each of the TTUHSC campuses on behalf of the Office of the President.
- Assists the AVP of External Relations in all external, internal, and other events as needed.
- Manages and coordinates all internal events that represent the Office of the President (OOP) and External Relations (ER).
- Manages and coordinates the annual holiday party for the Office of the President.
- This position qualifies for remote work. New employees will have a 90-day probationary period, at which time remote work will be discussed.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five years.
