The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking one attorney for a legal counsel position in Jefferson City, Missouri. This position will represent department officials at various administrative hearings; provide litigation assistance to attorneys with the Attorney General’s Office; provide legal advice concerning the supervision of probationers and parolees; review contracts and interagency agreements; review and draft legislative proposals; and review fiscal notes. provide legal advice

This position will close July 4, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the Missouri Bar with excellent communication skills who possesses initiative, independence and the ability to apply knowledge in a professional and timely manner. Litigation experience is preferred.

Salary:

$90,599.04 per Year
