- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate degree program, with some advanced coursework related to the internship program.

- Enrolled in an accredited college or university graduate degree program, with some advanced coursework related to the internship program.
Internship - Post-Graduate Level
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university post-graduate degree program, with some advanced coursework related to the internship program.
Preferred Qualifications Pay Range
$21.63/hour Undergraduate

Undergraduate Level: Observes and assists professionals in the assigned department to learn about areas of career interest. Assists, as necessary, in the coordination, administration, or monitoring of specific programs. Assists, as necessary, with researching, collecting and organizing data, performing analyses, and preparing reports to supplement knowledge gained through academic courses. Participates, as necessary, in finding solutions to existing problems and discusses recommendations with administrative personnel to acquire skills in problem solving. Assists with special projects.

The
Intern Position will join the
Office of the City Architect ( OCA ) team within the Building Services Department to assist the City Architect in communicating the Comprehensive Building Assets Management Plan to City Council, the City Manager’s Office, Department Directors and the Citizens of Austin when called upon. The City of Austin currently owns, manages and maintains over 6 million square feet distributed over approximately 330 facilities to house our 16,000 employees. This Comprehensive Building Assets Management Plan will expand the Strategic Administrative Office Occupancy Plan to include all employee-occupied buildings across all departments and will become the primary tool for guiding decisions made by the Strategic Facilities Governance Team.
