Job Announcement

The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Assistant at the Chandler Tennis Center(part-time, temporary, non-benefited). This position serves at the discretion of the department director. The position is scheduled to work irregular hours.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 6:15 AM - 10:15 AM and/or 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 6:15 AM - 10:15 AM and/or 6:45 PM - 10:15 PM

Who we are looking for

Our new team members will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking a candidate with experience working in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team. The ideal individual is adaptable, demonstrates strong time management, and can multitask effectively under pressure. A general knowledge of tennis and experience with administrative tasks, including the use of registration and reservation software, is preferred. This position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, assisting customers and supporting facility operations, while fostering a culture of camaraderie, courtesy, and respect.

Minimum qualifications

• Some High School, and

• 1 year of experience in a recreation environment; and

• First Aid/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment; and

• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; or

• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with strong time management and multitasking skills

• General knowledge of tennis or other sports

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.
