- The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.
Why you’ll love this position:This position will work directly under the Director of the State Data Center. This position will be responsible for managing the teams supporting the State Data Center's infrastructure services, which consist of storage, vmware server and VDI, backup/recovery services, server operating system services, server updates services, and related infrastructure hardware. This position will also assist in the development of the yearly cost allocation plan rates and budget for the areas it manages.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the State Data Center (SDC).

- Assist teams to improve, innovate, and modernize core processes related to infrastructure services.
- Assist teams in assigning resources to projects and managing timelines.
- Supervise 2 - 10 staff.
- Develop and review yearly CAP rates for services managed.
- Assist the Director to develop goals for the SDC infrastructure and monitor progress.
- Work with vendors for budget estimates, purchases, and technology refreshes.
- Manage the budget and all purchases for the infrastructure that this position manages.
- General knowledge of IBM, Pure and Netapp storage systems and blade center chassis/blades technology are preferred.
- General knowledge of VMWare vsphere, ESXi, Cohesity.
- Knowledge and experience with communication, organizational and budgetary skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying situations.
- Experience with management of staff from multiple areas of technology.
- Knowledge of project management skills.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
