Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in human resources administration. Municipal experience preferred.
- Must pass MVR check.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
Under general direction, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for coordinating the electronic recruiting and onboarding process for the Town of Prosper by utilizing NeoGov Insight, OHC and Onboard. Ensure new hire paperwork is electronically completed, coordinate post-offer background investigations, drug screens and preemployment physicals. This position also provides administrative support, provides excellent customer service to employees and the community, and assists with employee training and communications. This position receives and processes paperwork, applications, licenses, etc. This position also updates databases, inputs information into Laserfiche, assists with maintaining employee files and records retention and completes surveys upon request. The HR Recruiting Generalist assists with paying invoices and inputting information into payroll as needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
- Receives general direction from the Human Resources Director.
- Direct supervision of Human Resources Specialist.
