ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County, County Manager's Office is seeking an accomplished multi-talented videographer, editor and video production professional to apply for the Video Production Specialist. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller, accomplished multi-talented producer, videographer, editor and graphics professional. We are looking for a team player, who has outstanding communication and technical skills and enjoys working with a diverse group of people. The position must work collaboratively with marketing, broadcast and social media content producers. Video Production Specialist will have a high level of experience with shot composition, lighting techniques and knowledge of shooting compelling video sequences. The work schedule is full-time (40 hours per week). Work assignments could include working early mornings, evenings and weekends assignments.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

The selected candidates will be hired for a special project or duties of a limited duration and be required to sign a term of employment letter specifying condition and exact dates of employment. **REQUIRED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW- Must submit 1 video demo reel. No more than 10 minutes in duration containing examples of past video work. Individual stories or montage of multiple stories are acceptable. (please include examples of: shooting style, B-Roll, sequencing, well composed interviews, lighting, use of natural sound, and graphics). Do not include footage that was not produced or recorded by you.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Information, or a field related to the work. Experience in videography, editing and graphic production is desired. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions: May work outside of normal working hours.

Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted. Positions located at the Department of Aviation: Employment is contingent upon a fingerprint-based criminal history record check processed by the FBI, and upon the ability to be granted a security badge as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration. Note: all prospective hires must present two original government-issued ID's upon acceptance of the job offer. Examples of acceptable ID's include a Passport, Driver's License or DMV issued ID, birth certificate, Social Security card, Voter Registration card, school issued ID with picture, etc.

Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.

Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
