ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Clerk’s Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Recordation Technician position. This position scans documents, archives images and related data for record keeping. The candidate will be responsible for capturing, processing, verifying and managing digital and hard copies of various marriage, business and board documents. The ideal candidate will conduct complex record searches for both internal and external customers and will participate in the implementation of departmental records destruction and retention schedule of documents.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND four (4) years of full-time general clerical experience, two (2) years of which includes receiving, examining and recording a variety of legal documents. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions: Shift work: employees may be scheduled for day, mid, swing, night shifts or any other irregular shift deemed necessary by the department and may be asked to work other shifts as needed. May require overtime - at times with little notice based upon operational need, including weekends and/or holidays.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, stamina to use repetitive hand and wrist motion in the performance and application of typing and data entry for extended period of time, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. May be required to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
