ABOUT THE POSITION

Clark County Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is seeking qualified candidate to apply for Programmer Analyst I/II position in the Web Services Team. We are looking for a strong hands-on programmer who can write programs using requirements and specification documents, has experience in debugging programs and is eager to learn new programming languages. Additional duties will include: design, configure, develop and support web applications; design, configure, develop and support components of Employee Launch Pad/ Web Portal. Also, design solutions to support Clark County's business processes, help optimize work processes by providing applications that can automate data entry, billing, invoicing, and other data processing functions within organization. The ERP Office supports multiple agencies in Southern Nevada including the Clark County government, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), the University Medical Center (UMC) and the Regional Flood Control District (RFCD). The ERP Office is focused on leadership in the support of enterprise business systems and the implementation of solutions to accomplish business objectives. This includes off-hours production support duties as needed.

Programmer Analyst I: $30.32 - $47.03 Hourly
Programmer Analyst II: $32.74 - $50.81 Hourly

The Programmer Analyst I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Programmer Analyst II.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

Programmer Analyst I - Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Some large-scale programming and/or systems analysis experience is desirable. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years.

Programmer Analyst II - In addition to the above: Two (2) years of full-time professional level experience in systems analysis and programming in a large multi-processing environment.

Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.

Licensing and Certifications: Specified positions must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
