General Purpose:

Responsible for the overall management and oversight of the regional Northern Colorado Real Time Information Center (NCRTIC) and the Northern Colorado Intelligence Unit (NCIU), sponsored by the Loveland Police Department. This position plans, develops, organizes, and directs daily operations of both the NCRTIC and NCIU. The Manager supervises all assigned staff and collaborates with local, state, and federal public safety agencies, city and county departments, private sector partners, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and coordinated operations. Responsibilities include training and directing personnel in the use of advanced interactive technology systems to monitor, assess, and respond to emergency and criminal incidents. The Manager also leads the NCIU—an all-threats intelligence unit working in tandem with the NCRTIC—to enhance situational awareness and support public safety throughout the region. Reporting to the Assistant Chief of the Investigations Unit, the Manager serves as a primary liaison to law enforcement executives (e.g., chiefs and sheriffs), overseeing collaboration efforts, supervising multi-agency personnel, and coordinating the acquisition and integration of technologies to support NCRTIC and NCIU operations.

Salary Range of $130,737.57 - $189,569.54 with a hiring salary of $130,737.57 - $160,153.56 subject to applicable taxes and withholdings

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public safety, emergency management, public administration, or a closely related field.

Experience:

Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, intelligence unit, real-time crime center, or equivalent role in public safety or information-sharing operations required.

Three (3) years of supervisory experience required, preferably in law enforcement, public safety and/or intelligence unit.

Licenses/Certificates:

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environment:

Work is performed in an office and real-time information center setting. May include nights, weekends, and holidays. Remote work, response to emergency operations centers, or on-site major incident deployment may be required.

Physical:

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods; occasional bending, lifting, reaching, or twisting. Regular use of computers, phones, and communication systems. Must be able to speak clearly and engage in public presentations.

Vision:

Normal visual acuity, with or without correction.

Hearing:

Normal auditory capacity, with or without correction.
