Position DescriptionSupports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Major/Essential Functions- Maintains applicant database (ERAS).
- Interacts with applicants interested in the department's residency program.
- Schedules applicant interviews.
- Verifies the completeness of candidate documentation.
- Coordinates, plans, and supervises the annual new resident orientation.
- Organizes and coordinates the typing and printing of the resident manual and various recruitment documents.
- Handles resident complaints and concerns in conjunction with the Program Director.
- Prepares various reports concerning information pertaining to residents to be utilized by the institution and also for outside agencies as requested.
- Serves as an information resource for residents regarding problems with licensure, insurance, DEA numbers, institutional permits, etc.
- Acts as a liaison between the department and the education office, the Residency Program Director, the department Chair, and the RRC.
- Handles arrangements for meetings/conferences, including travel, hotel, ground transportation, registration, etc, for residents.
Required QualificationsHigh school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
