ABOUT US

The award-winning Marin County Fair is the County’s premier community event with over 120,000 attendees annually. Held annually over the 4th of July holiday, fairgoers enjoy five days of art, rides, concerts, fair food delights, shopping and so much more.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Department of Cultural Services is looking for staff to work the upcoming Marin County Fair-July 2-6th, 2025. There are multiple contingent hire (temporary) positions in three (3) assignment areas:

Guest Ambassador (Front of House)
Guest-focused support scanning tickets. Monitors the admission of fair patrons, guests, staff, exhibitors and contractors for proper ticket or credential, before allowing them to enter. Operates ticket scanning equipment and provides guidance for other employees in its proper use. Provides excellent customer service to Fair patrons by answering questions and providing information. Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable.

Guest Ambassador (Concerts)
Guest-focused support for seating patrons for nightly headliner concerts, Directing guests to restrooms, concessions, and other areas of the venue, answering any questions guests might have about the venue or the event, monitoring the crowd for any potential safety concerns and reporting them to appropriate personnel, and assisting in ensuring the venue is clean before and during the events. Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable.

Ticket Ambassador (Box Office Event Attendant)
Guest-focused support for reprinting lost tickets. Operates ticketing computer and Software.
Provides excellent customer service to Fair patrons by answering questions and providing information. Walks up and down lines to assist guests in purchasing tickets on mobile devices.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Work schedules include weekends and evenings at Marin Center facilities. Must be available to work the duration of the County Fair: July 2-6th, 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE OFABILITY TO

The Minimum Qualifications are:
Previous work experience is not required. Some experience as an Usher and/or in a related field at public events or in other customer service settings is highly desirable.
Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable.
