Duties:

Licking County Job & Family Services (LCJFS) provides the community with public assistance, workforce development, and protective services. We are seeking talented, compassionate individuals to provide intensive customer services related to public assistance benefits serving families and individuals in need.

Public Assistance Call Center workers will field incoming calls for public assistance programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Ohio Works First (OWF), Medicaid, SNAP/Food Assistance, etc. in order to answer eligibility/services questions. Call Center workers will utilize specialized computer software and digital imaging. Call Center workers will explain programs and requirements, process changes, and answer programmatic questions related to eligibility and responsibilities. Call Center workers will document activity in specialized software, issue checklists requesting required verifications, import, link and schedule applications.

Successful Public Assistance Call Center workers will possess an associate degree in a relevant area such as human services, business, accounting, or other related area, proficiency in the use of computers, and one (1) year experience working with the public. Extensive experience in customer service and technical skills may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pre-employment requirements include a background check, drug screen, and driving check. Applicants must submit and resume and application. Three professional references are required.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $19.17 - $25.37 per hour (placement in pay range is dependent on experience and education)
