Description
Job Location: This position will be located at 912 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri. Telecommuting is possible.
Why you’ll love this position:The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) exists to promote and protect the health and wellness of Missouri citizens. Within DHSS, the EDL Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the Department's Employee Disqualification List. This is a list of healthcare providers and/or in-home and consumer directed service attendants who have substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, misappropriation, and/or falsification of service delivery.
- Process investigatory reports initiated by DHSS and determine appropriateness for placement on the EDL
- Participate in appellate process for EDL placements
- Approve and monitor settlement agreements in lieu of placement on the EDL
- Make recommendations on requests from individuals to be removed from the EDL
- May review Good Cause Waivers
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate preferred but not required
- OR Ten (10) or more years of experience in the healthcare field with an appropriate Bachelor's degree
- Overnight travel may be required to attend trainings or hearings, but is rare.
