Position DescriptionContributes to the advancement of institutional student success.
Major/Essential FunctionsThe Student Success Coach position is critical to the day-to-day processes within the SHP Office of Admissions and Student Affairs. The position will report to the Director of Admissions. This position requires someone who has excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment. The individual will be willing to step in whenever needed while prioritizing and handling multiple tasks associated with the position and supporting the Admission & Student Affairs team. This individual will assist with recruitment, prospective student advising, admissions processing, new student onboarding, and student engagement to support the SHP enrollment goals. The Major/Essential functions of this position include:
- Represents the TTUHSC School of Health Professions to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.
- Evaluate admission applications.
- Assist with Slate (CRM) system in gathering student information, tracking and reporting.
- Compare degree requirements and contents of courses offered with those of other colleges and universities.
- Assist with New student onboarding processes.
- Perform recruiting activities and maintain recruitment records as needed.
- Assist in answering phones and email received fielding questions about the TTUHSC School of Health Professions.
- Assist with TTUHSC School of Health Professions events.
- Support our TTUHSC vision and mission by carrying out our values-based culture.
- Maintain the ability to work professionally with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students, provide excellent customer service, and efficiently multitask.
- Contribute to the overall success of the University and SHP by performing other duties as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality for applicants, current students, faculty and staff.
- Observe work safety rules.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related area of study and 2 years of student support experience in a mentoring, advising, tutoring, or related capacity.
