STREET MAINTENANCE WORKER I/II
Level I: $5,357 - $6,512per month

Level III: $5,625 - $6,837 per month

(appointment level will depend on background and experience)

THE DEPARTMENT AND POSITION

The Department of Public Works is recruiting for a Street Maintenance Worker I/IIto perform a variety of manual and semiskilled tasks involving the construction, repair, maintenance, and cleaning of streets, sidewalks, other concrete structures, storm drainage and related Public Works facilities. The Street Maintenance Worker operates light power driven, hand-held, and "walk behind" equipment.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hazards are moderate, fairly predictable and protected against.
