This is an second-level position for the Motor Vehicle and Driver Licensing Division and is responsible for bringing together theory and practice to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow business leaders within the division to make more informed decisions. This position provides technical and professional work in the support of Driver License Bureau systems, data security and compliance analysis. An employee in this position will provide technical support and evaluation of applications and data for MO driver license issuance system and supporting applications and interfaces, commercial driver license program compliance, user security administration and oversight. An employee in this position will work with information technology staff, vendors and agency partners to maintain system compliance and to design, test, and implement required program upgrades. An employee in this position must complete analysis of proposed and enacted legislation and other requests to determine system impacts, procedural impacts, and fiscal analysis. An employee in this position must be able to communicate effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing, to assist other government agencies and to assist and support citizens and businesses in Missouri. This individual will be responsible for direction and training in areas of responsibility to internal and external customers, which may include formal presentations.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: • Interpret raw data and use analysis skills and tools to come to meaningful conclusions and develop actionable insights
• Write reports based on their findings and communicate findings to key team members
• Analyze data and dashboards to ensure data is clean and accurate
• Collect data and work to understand problems within the Division and identify solutions
• Create and maintain dashboards within Tableau and Excel
• Examine data sets and create visual charts to identify trends and correlations
• Use algorithms and predictive models to create better processes

QUALIFICATIONS: • Possession of a high school diploma, or high school equivalency certificate
• Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
• Knowledge of research methods and analysis; and statistical software.
• Ability to perform basic queries and analysis of data.
• Organized, methodical approach to problem-solving
