Description

The Missouri Department of Mental Health is dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and public understanding of mental illness and developmental disabilities. Responsible for overseeing the management of barriers that result in at-risk outcomes for people and providers with specialized needs. This includes assisting and overseeing the high-risk transition process, including the sex-offender and forensic process; managing the consumer referral database; providing training and support to providers, including residential, behavioral, and support coordination entities for both the transition process and other risk prevention efforts as they are built. This function will also assist in further development of risk prevention efforts and participate in statewide and area Tiered Supports trainings and meetings.

Location: This position will be domiciled within the St. Louis, MO Metro Area with the possibility to domicile at an alternative Regional Office location if spacing allows.

Preferred: BCaBA or student pursuing behavior analysis credential with experience in multi-tiered systems of support or systemic Positive Behavior Support, OR a bachelor’s degree and/or four years of professional experience in the areas of mental health, education, social services, or public administration, including experience with support coordination, working knowledge of Positive Behavior Support. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the stated qualifications.
