Learn and Earn Program Coordinator - Juvenile Probation (Prescott & Cottonwood)
Description
RoleYavapai County Juvenile Probation Office is seeking highly motivated and organized individuals to serve as a Program Coordinator for our Learn and Earn summer program. This six-week initiative offers educational and employment opportunities for teens involved in the juvenile justice system, promoting responsibility, skill development, and future success.
This is a temporary position that will run from May to July, with workdays Tuesday to Friday, 10 hours each day. The program will be conducted at our Prescott and Cottonwood locations.
Ideal candidate will possess strong communications skills and have prior experience working with youth.

Major Duties, Responsibilities- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures of the Learn and Earn Program.
- Oversees and has full responsibility for teens enrolled in the education and employment Learn and Earn Program.
- Oversees learning and internship opportunities for teens enrolled in the Learn and Earn Program.
- Drives 12-passenger van for teens to and from designated internship locations.
- Coordinates and works with community representatives and leaders.
- Establishes record keeping for teen activities.
- Maintains and submits timesheets for teens enrolled in Learn and Earn Program.
- Provides work direction to specific staff involved in the Learn and Earn Program.
- Writes reports, implements curriculum, and assists in classroom management and instruction.
- Communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding youth activities.
- Assists with planning and organizing the program’s parent orientation and graduation ceremony.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) year experience working with youth.
Additional Requirements:Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
Must successfully pass an extensive background investigation, fingerprinting, and polygraph test.
