Under general supervision and in a safe manner, exercises responsibility for the maintenance and repair of the street lighting system.

Minimum Qualifications

CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL PERFORMERS The successful performer must enjoy working alone with little or no immediate supervision. This individual is highly dependable, self-motivated, and safety conscious. He or she is comfortable working at high elevations, enjoys working outdoors, and understands the importance of safety precautions. Successful performers project a positive attitude when dealing with the public and are dedicated to quality service. Incumbents communicate effectively with coworkers, contractors and the general public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent plus two years of experience involving the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic street lighting systems and operating specialized high lift equipment while working in excess of twenty-five feet off the ground; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below. DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES SPECIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
