This professional position will serve as an integral part of the MVE team, ensuring the development, implementation and tracking of quality assurance across 22 manufacturing operations throughout the state. In this position, you will be responsible for analyzing program outcomes, data sets and providing recommendations to improve manufacturing efficiency with a focus on quality. This position will oversee the factories’ strategies, objectives, and operational status to ensure high quality processes and products.

This position will be in the Missouri Vocational Enterprise Central Office located in Jefferson City, MO with a daily work schedule from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. This position will require some travel/overnight responsibilities.

Document and recording information: entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

Evaluating information for compliance within quality standards.

Analyzing data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.

Monitoring processes, materials, production and quality.

Obtain information by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, rework, etc. resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.

Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives. Preparation of monthly project reports, including visual project scorecards.

Develop and implement quality control for finished good items built in various factories across the state.

Apply mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems in manufacturing processes and product quality.

Collect and analyze baseline data, monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards, recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process, inspect or test materials and finished goods to ensure specification compliance, document inspection results.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Associate degree and 0-2 years of experience OR 2-4 years of experience in quality control, process improvement, data analysis or closely related field.

Some positions are eligible for a shift differential of $173.34 semi-monthly, which is provided to employees with shifts that begin on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am, and who work at a 24/7 worksite (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center), or whose work requires regular visits to these locations. If selected for interview, eligibility may be discussed at that time with the hiring manager.

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
