Pay Range: $34.45/hr. - $44.79/hr.

A Sr. Land Agent position is available with the City of Fort Worth Development Services Contract Management Division. This position will be responsible for coordinating land management activities related to the acquisition and/or abandonment of property interests in public easements and/or rights-of-way associated with developer led capital improvement infrastructure projects; and assists in the interpretation and application of applicable ordinances, codes, and laws in each process.
Minimum Qualifications: (Mirror official job description in bullet format) - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, real estate, urban planning or a related field
- Four (4) years of experience in real estate transactions (property acquisition, sales, leasing, property management), title examination, and/or real estate funding
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public Certificate within six (6) months of employment
Preferred Qualifications: (Hard Skills; 3 preferred qualifications, in bullet format) - Experience in land acquisition related to municipal infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Texas Real Estate Laws
- Experience in survey, land valuation, and title research
- Right-of-Way License or Real Estate License preferred
The (Job Posting Title) job responsibilities include: (4 - 8 duties in bullet format) - Oversee the acquisition of property interests in easements or rights of way for the construction of developer funded capital improvement projects through administrative processes
- Coordinates with professional staff and the City Attorney’s office terms and recommendations regarding real estate agreements, serving as real estate liaison with other City Departments
- Meets with project consultants, developers, residents and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and ensure the timely completion of the project
- Reviews and perform complex tasks of the work unit which would include negotiating agreement language terms and confirming signature authority on real estate documents
- Leads and trains subordinate professional and administrative staff.
Working Conditions Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises.
Physical Demand Light work- Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
